I use the monarch butterfly for this video projection because of its symbolism, importance, and beauty. Illustrating the monarch butterfly is a way pay tribute to generational migration and to remind us of the spiritual return of the dead. It also serves as a reminder of the possibility for transformation and rebirth. Additionally, I aimed to emphasize the importance of the insect to the world's ecosystem and the need for its conservation.
